How The Q-Switch Laser Works
Unlike traditional ablative lasers that burn away the top layer of skin, the Q-Switch Nd:YAG operates differently. It delivers intense bursts of light energy in fractions of a second (nanoseconds). This energy safely passes through the top layer of skin and is absorbed exclusively by dark pigment (melanin or tattoo ink).
