Raktamokshana – Blood Cleansing

Purpose: To remove impurities from the blood and relieve toxic heat trapped in the circulatory system. In cases where toxins are deeply lodged in the bloodstream, controlled bloodletting is done through leech therapy or other traditional methods.

Indications: chronic skin diseases (acne, eczema, boils), gout, varicose veins, high blood pressure, Pitta-related inflammation.
