Viddhakarma — Therapeutic Piercing

Viddhakarma is a therapeutic Ayurvedic procedure involving controlled piercing or puncturing of the skin or specific tissues (Marmas) with a sterile needle or sharp instrument. It is used to relieve localized pain, drain abscesses or cysts, remove toxins, and stimulate healing in conditions related to musculoskeletal and soft tissue disorders.

By creating micro-channels, Viddhakarma helps release accumulated toxins (Ama), improve blood circulation, and reduce inflammation. Commonly applied in boils, abscesses, joint pain, and stiff muscles, it is minimally invasive and accelerates recovery with proper hygiene and aftercare.
