Vamana – Therapeutic Emesis

Purpose: To expel excess Kapha from the stomach, lungs, and sinuses. After internal preparation, the patient is given herbal decoctions to induce controlled vomiting. Vamana clears the upper digestive and respiratory tract, often bringing immediate lightness and clarity.

Common indications include chronic colds, bronchitis, asthma, sinusitis, obesity, and Kapha-driven skin diseases.
